The National Economic and Social Advisory Council-"Echoing Public Problems: From the Mass to the State" ...@... NESAC's vision: "The National Economic and Social Advisory Council: an organization echoing economic and social problems not one that serves as a bargaining forum for any perticular interests groups or individuals" ...@... The 1997 Constitution of The Kingdom of Thailand, especially its Chapter V, is intended to assure and pledge participation of the Thai people from all walks of life in the country’s development and decision-making process. This is because results of the national development do affect the lives of people. Therefore, as a new development body, the National Economic and Social Council has to be established in order to provide the cabinet with advice and recommendation on social and economic problems, the national development plans and other plans as required by law, before the ratification of the parliament.
